Currency

BHUTAN

Bhutanese currency is the Ngultrum (nu). The Ngultrum is officially pegged to the Indian Rupee.  Both the Indian Rupee and Nu can be used in Bhutan. Approx exchange is 1USD = 45nu.  Currently only American Express and Visa cards are acceptable in the country and that too by very limited number of service establishments.
