TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE PAKSE

Upon arrival at Pakse airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (D)

DAY 2: PAKSE TO DON DAENG ISLAND

This morning enjoy a short tour of Pakse, then drive east to the Boloven Plateau to Tad Lo, Tad Yuang and Tad Fane waterfalls. Return to Pakse, visiting a tea or coffee plantation en route. From Pakse you will drive south to Don Daeng Island via Champasak. This evening witness a traditional Baci ceremony at a local home. (B,L)

DAY 3: DON DAENG ISLAND

Take a boat ride across the river to Wat Phou, a UNESCO World Heritage listed Angkorian temple. Drive to a village and enjoy a picnic lunch with the locals, followed by an elephant ride up to Mount Asa. Visit Wat Uomo and a village specialising in wood carving. (B,L)

DAY 4: DON DAENG ISLAND

Travel south to the Si Phan Done area, also known as 4,000 Islands. Take a boat ride, keeping an eye out for the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins. See the Liphi Waterfalls and enjoy a stroll through the villages before you continue to Khone Papheng Waterfalls. (B)

DAY 5: DON DAENG ISLAND

Enjoy a bicycle ride around the island. Relax on the beach, interact with the locals and experience the laid back pace of southern Laos life. A picnic lunch is served in the countryside where you can enjoy views of the Mekong River. (B,L)

DAY 6: DON DAENG ISLAND TO PAKSE

After check-out this morning you will be transferred back to your Pakse hotel or the airport where your arrangements end. (B)
