TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI

Upon arrival at Hanoi airport you will be met and transferred to your
hotel.

DAY 2: HANOI - CITY TOUR

Enjoy a city tour by cyclo visiting the Old Quarter and West Lake.  Continue on to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Sep-Dec), Humble House on Stilts, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Join Buddhist nuns for a vegetarian lunch at a local pagoda. (B,L)

DAY 3: HANOI

Shop for produce in a street market with a local chef and try your hand at making traditional Vietnamese dishes. The afternoon is free at your leisure. (B,L)

DAY 4: HANOI - HALONG BAY

Travel to Halong Bay and enjoy a cruise around the stunning limestone islets on a traditional junk boat. Return to Hanoi this afternoon. (B,L)

DAY 5: HANOI TO HUE

Fly to Hue today and see the Royal Tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. (B)

DAY 6: HUE

Cruise along the Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda. After lunch visit the Imperial Citadel before strolling through Dong Ba Market to learn about Hue’s imperial cuisine. (B,L)

DAY 7: HUE TO HOI AN

Drive over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An stopping en route at Lang Co fishing village. Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An’s old town this afternoon. This evening enjoy a cooking class at Red Bridge Cooking School. (B,D)

DAY 8: HOI AN TO SAIGON - MEKONG DELTA

Fly to Saigon. Upon arrival you will drive to the Mekong Delta. Cruise the canals by small boats stopping at bonsai gardens and craft villages. Return to Saigon later this afternoon. (B,L)

DAY 9: SAIGON

Join a well known chef to buy produce in Chinatown and learn how to prepare your favourite southern dishes. This afternoon you will see the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral, followed by a visit to the Reunification Palace. (B,L)

DAY 10: DEPART SAIGON

After check-out from your hotel this morning you will l be transferred to Saigon airport where your arrangements end. (B)
